“biological, socio-cultural, historical and THEN the theories.. yet it bootstraps off one another “2014 2019: “a concept is a theory of a category.” Well heck, I’m going through notes and I am strengthening old mental connections: For Tomorrow, Nov 11, 2014 (6 years ago), going through my notes, I find: “My tendencies are to take the received stories (History), especially those of philosophies that we have received that have shaped our society and culture as it is today (sociocultural) – and then apply the best of our cognitive science if possible (discoveries in neurology, taking into account historical context of some of the assumptions of course) – and THEN consider ideas on their own merits if they survive.” and in another one: “It’s a tall order: biological, socio-cultural, historical and THEN the theories laid on top… but I think it would be a nice way for society to move forward.” “Hm… historical, sociocultural then biological then theories. Start with the stories: Where did this come from? How does it currently relate in the context of today? Then move to sciences biological then move to the platonic ideals. There’s a lot of bootstrapping within it all;”

Well heck, I’m going through notes and I am strengthening old mental connections:
For Tomorrow, Nov 11, 2014 (6 years ago), going through my notes, I find:

“My tendencies are to take the received stories (History), especially those of philosophies that we have received that have shaped our society and culture as it is today (sociocultural) – and then apply the best of our cognitive science if possible (discoveries in neurology, taking into account historical context of some of the assumptions of course) – and THEN consider ideas on their own merits if they survive.”

and in another one:
“It’s a tall order: biological, socio-cultural, historical and THEN the theories laid on top… but I think it would be a nice way for society to move forward.”
“Hm… historical, sociocultural then biological then theories. Start with the stories: Where did this come from? How does it currently relate in the context of today? Then move to sciences biological then move to the platonic ideals. There’s a lot of bootstrapping within it all;”
