Bill Nye, as much as I like him, sounds retarded when he steps outside of Science and moves into Politics. Hawking, same. Neil deGrasse Tyson, same. Krause, same.
All awesome in their fields but when they act as spokespeople for New Atheism, they sound ridiculous and really should quit it. They’re just convincing the people who don’t need convincing. Politics.
Bill Maher on the other hand, ALWAYS talked politics, so nothing really changed with him, except he stopped having his own opinions about certain topics and just fell in line with the group. Oh well. I’ll take a Carl Sagan anyday but they’re harder to find at present. The guy that wrote “Man is a strange loop” is in that category along with a few others, but they’re not as noisy as this crew of about 7-10 bigmouths.
