lol – well the therapist had to learn SOMETIME tongue emoticon
In my early 20s, to repay the Cerebral Palsy center I went to from ages 2-4, I volunteered full time there. It was very helpful to go “full circle” like that.
I got to work with kids with epilepsy, down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy; basically ALL the kids that the school system couldn’t handle and the parents couldn’t care for during the day.
It was ages 2-20 – a very unique place. It’s still around although I don’t live in the state anymore (New Jersey, USA).
I got kicked, punched, bruised, went through three pairs of glasses in my year volunteering there.
I didn’t go into a profession with it (schooling was too much $$$ for me) but I enjoyed it.
