Back in 1993-ish, at a temp job for Jersey Central Power & Light, one odd assignment, which partially involved inputting old blueprints into Autocad WHEN I DIDN’T KNOW AUTOCAD.. was monitoring and controlling oil levels of oil tanks across New Jersey using a dial-in modem and a few ASCII commands.
I remember thinking, “Well, that’s a security risk waiting to happen but I love the concept anyway”.
