For example, I always found distinctive faces more interesting because of the uniqueness conferred. But average faces – including average famous faces, look ’empty’ to me – hollow… blank…. nothing. I never knew why. So I’m trying to better get a handle on the whole thing.

We might have similar cognitive issues. Aspergers apparently have ‘trouble’ with faces. Of course if you HAVE aspergers, this ‘trouble’ will be perfectly normal and NOT appear to be a problem in any way. But it’s something others might notice…. or it might seem that other people seem to have some special ability with faces that seems just out of reach.

At least, that’s my experience. I don’t know if I have aspergers but that aspect of it seems to line up well with my experience.
