Between 2014 and 2016, I wrote several ebooks on Amazon, just to conquer my “OH NO I HAVE TO WRITE A BOOK BEFORE I DIE BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO PUBLISH” demon.
Nothing heartfelt or deep, just me putting a slash across the timeline so I could say: YES I AM AUTHOR: LOOK AT MY PAST
I did no marketing beyond: HEY LOOK WHAT I DID AND SO CAN YOU a few times to show others it’s not difficult.
What *is* hard? Writing a good book is probably difficult. Marketing anything you create is difficult as you have to market yourself, or at least some view of yourself that you want to project. Dealing both with fear of failure and with fear of success as much is out of your direct control. Attachment is pain.
$43.15 though. That’s been my payout. Last buy was in November 2018. Can’t complain. Could I ride the emotional roller coaster if I attached myself to product and result? I don’t know.
