At the level I have control, I have control.
At the levels I don’t have control, I don’t have control.
I don’t control the weather.
But I can control my air conditioner.
I had biofeedback lessons as a kid. Controlled a computer with by consciously changing my feelings. Played video games by making myself angry and calming down. It was a feedback loop and my choices were involved in that process.
Had I not made conscious, willing choices, nothing would happen.
“once other processes not in your control happen.” bingo. Some processes were in my control.
You get it now. Free will.
I’m not in control of every molecule. That’s such a shock.
Assuming that total molecular control = only acceptable free will is a bit much.
I can’t control precisely how bits of pencil deposit on paper but I can draw a stick figure.
