Asking police if they use excessive force, they might say “there is no such thing as excessive force”. Ask an economist if there is such a thing as “greed” there will say “There is no such thing as greed”. It doesn’t exist in their vocabulary and can’t because it is critical of their very foundation. A police department won’t want to be criticized for excessive force for then they might get criticized for “force” Likewise, there no room for a notion of “greed” in the corporate worldview for that kind of ambition is seen as a necessity and a good in that worldview.
