As I’m not the parents, not for me to say if a parent wants to get his/her kids comfortable using handguns. In the USA (and in some middle eastern countries), “a boy and his rifle” is a common enough sight so handguns seem to be a logical part of the training process, especially if you live in an area where gunfire is expected and not surprising. I paired up a news article of a father showing his 8 + 11 yr old sons how to shoot pistols at a range with Fireflies ’cause it seems to fit. – my weird sense of humor. I’m not making a statement against or for here – I know it’s part of tradition.
