As a young boy, the book “Scripts People Live” was on the back of our toilet and being a long-sitter, I’d read through it. So here I was an 11/12 year old learning about Transactional Analysis, just not by name. Self-talk was scripts and you could rewrite those scripts. And while not everything of a person is made up of scripts, an awful lot of our relationships, including and perhaps ESPECIALLY with ourselves, rests upon a messy pile of these scripts.
