Thank you for posting another perspective. It gave more details although it left it unclear whether or not there was any flooding in the building itself, just an impression that there *might* have been.

Still, it’s America where sympathy for rich people is usually hard to come by and in many people’s minds it brought to mind Mecca during part of the refugee crisis, the unoccupied tent city with the air conditioning units.

I think he made a cautious, rational business decision as there’s insurance issues to consider, but made the error of ignoring social media.

I think there’s less to it than all that.
Rich guy owns big building. Won’t open big building.
Rich guy got rich making profit off of a traditionally non-profit thing. (religion)

I don’t hate the guy. He’s an American businessman getting rich off of people by being a gifted orator and using another people’s religion as his cover story for profit.

But some people believe his cover story for profit should at least show some authenticity. Can you blame people for that? Some value for his non-profit status?
