Apps Installed On Millions Of Android Phones Tracked User Behavior To Execute A Multimillion-Dollar Ad Fraud Scheme

I’m really impressed by the sophistication. It used things that regular folks aren’t even aware that they’re tracked for, such as how long you are looking at an image or video (it’s webpage time but we don’t usually think of Instagram posts as webpages for example), where you click, how you scroll, etc and patches together all the keystroke recording and timings and duplicates it.

Ok, it’s macro recording but still, how they tied it all together through shell companies to mask their tracks is impressive.
