Anyway, that’s my view on christian socialism. works on small community levels.

I’m personally a fan of the monastic movements within Christiandom.
Epicurean (friendship) communities adopted the changes made by governments without any fuss at all from my readings.

It wasn’t really any change to them. Something new to do and sink their teeth into.

Virtually unchanged, but under the protection and banner of the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Church), the monasteries were free to continue a long episode of Friends for hundreds of years.

What the West did to monastic life? Made it a little weird. Then again, they also took away priest’s wives in the West about 200 years post Schism.

The Eastern Church’s monastic traditions don’t seem to have changed as much.

Anyway, that’s my view on christian socialism. works on small community levels.

The Wikipedia article seems to LEAP over about 1500 years of history and land smack in the 19th century. Totally missing a lot of stuff. But I’m too lazy to correct it.
