[and yes, I sound like a TV commercial and no, I don’t care that I do]

Thanks to all the people on my friends’ list who shared it before I did. I think there were 8 people, all in a row, who shared this before me, and I checked it out.

I just saw a few of them, but it’s all I needed to see. Such a basic thing: specific, meaningful compliments to show that YES you’re paying attention and YES you ‘get it’.

PS – it works on every age, every person. Except for perhaps the skeptical who cannot take compliments. They’re harder to reach. Or the agenda-seekers. They see everybody as a used-car salesman and certainly that’s wise, because this can be misused for evil as well as used for good. But if you use it for good, you can help improve the world, if not for the whole world, at least for one person.

Agreed. But it’s something though. Plus, the compliments aren’t tied into productivity.

Instead, it’s something to look forward to – a high point of the day. So, it’s a different approach.
