I’m not much for assigning things as absolutes.
You’ve talked to me many times and I’m nearly absolute about that but even with that, I accept some absolutes.
And _this_ – is an absolute I can accept wholeheartedly: Absurdism is absolute freedom.
although.. now that I’ve said it ‘aloud”, I can think of _some_ constraints to the absoluteness of it.. Hm. Wait… no… no I can’t
Yes! And what that does is puts you on a NEW FOOTING for understanding reality and sensemaking:
Once your footing is: This all makes ABSOLUTELY no sense, _then_ you can try to make sense of it, knowing full well that the sense you’re making of it is, itself, absurd. But it can be convincing. It can be fun. Sensemaking becomes a pleasure, an art form, playing a musical instrument.
Each encounter that briefly makes you go, “But why?” suddenly makes you smile deep inside. It’s marvelous honestly. You can choose to figure it out or choose not to, but you no longer HAVE TO because you have the only key to everything you need:
It’s all ultimately absurdity smile emoticon
