Does Code Enforcement come by with police and a bulldozer and knock down your structure? No, they do not. But you may be required to remove it. Yet you will have time to do so and there usually is a possibility to save face, reduce fines, sometimes even keep what you did if you get the proper inspections and pay the fees. Why? Because even those the law was broken, these are adults treating adults like adults.
