An individual can attempt to speak for any group. Whether that group or a part of that group takes that individual seriously or not is another thing.

Trans women speaking on behave of biologically born women, for example, is becoming commonplace.The practice seems well received as a whole. The only exception might be for reproductive rights as some women feel they’re not qualified to speak on those issues.But Catholic priests are men not married to women and give marriage advice. Most are fine with at, some say they’re not qualified.

===

It could be. Tolerance is almost impossible to achieve.

====

Tolerance is an attitude to strive for. There’s a lot of variations on what’s considered tolerance and what’s not.

I would not say that perfect tolerance is the goal of liberals because then you’d have to accept things that go against OTHER values such as basic human rights.

One University did a thing out of how many universities? Why is this outlier so important?

Don’t care about adult sports and their dramas. Sorry.

===

Is the minority group complaining? Or Saviors of Western Civilization complaining?

===

SWC. I’ll have to start using that. I think I just coined an acronym.

===

It’s entertainment. A show. Circus. Fun. This gives all you sports fans something to complain about now. All part of the show.

===

Even most black men don’t say that. You are clueless.

====

It’s situational. If the group you’re in accepts you saying it then you say it. But someone new to the group who is also black doesn’t get an automatic pass to say it either. It’s a friendship word.

====

Mostly, it just looks ridiculous when a non-black person says it. They’re saving you from embarassment more than anything.

====

Ok, because that’s EXACTLY what happens. Honestly, I don’t have a strong opinion about the BU thing and don’t see it as equivalent to trans issues at all.

====

Where’s the years of therapy? The hormone blockers? The alternate hormone treatment? The surgery?

For you to imply that the race thing at BU and trans issues are equivalent is a false equivalency.

====

You’re either in over your head or just trolling for fun and you don’t really care. I know you’re usually logical

===

I think racial declarations are generally ridiculous ultimately but it means something for some people. They can fight it out. I consider the whiteness problem more of a cultural issue and use racial names for convenient shorthand for social currents.

====

and no, not everybody who is trans qualifies or needs hormonal therapy. But I don’t think that there are too many cases of racial dysphoria (is that a thing)? that have a significant amount of individuals seeking expensive plastic surgeries and needing social support..

Then again, body image dysphoria fuels much of the body building community…

====

I’m generally intolerant of intelligent people holding bad opinions but I usually have to tolerate it ultimately.
====
  Then I’d say we’re both rather tolerant. The thing about tolerance is that you don’t have to like ANYTHING about it. You can talk against it. You can complain about the FALL OF CIVILIZATION all you like.It’s only when you incite, threaten or enact blocking measures that it becomes intolerance.
====
  The whole body building industry, and the fashion industry CATERS to and amplifies body image dysmorphia. It’s part of the culture so you don’t see it. You won’t hear about it except in academic circles mostly or extreme cases, or addictions.
===
  I’m not trans and I am also not affected negatively by trans who do or do not utilize hormonal therapy.However, I do know several trans who have been or are being helped, so my experiences have been wholly positive.I could talk about but you don’t “do anecdotes” unless it’s a Joe Rogan video or University so I won’t.
===
  I also don’t understand this “robbing of experience” you keep talking about. I try not to speak for others as a group when possible because it’s generally _rude_. That’s all.Sometimes I do.I lean towards tolerance over intolerance.Am I a bigot? Ok. But I strive towards not being that way and discourage the blatant, obvious ENCOURAGEMENT of bigotry because I believe it leads to a perpetually segmented world that only wants some kind of war all of the time for any reason or none.

====
  I don’t understand fully the situation at BU so I’m neither for nor against it. In short, it’s “not my problem”.If that makes me a bigot, then so be it.
====
  “Kenneth Udut is an intolerant bigot. Being an intolerant bigot justifies all bigotry and intolerance everywhere in the world.”There you go I could have said that from the start. I know this is true. This is why I keep working towards self-betterment and encourage others to do so for themselves and for a better world tomorrow.

 This is not “white guilt” by the way. That is a nonsense phrase. There is no such thing as white guilt. This is responsibility of stewardship.
