An example I can think of: Bullying. Advice about bullying is stuck in the 1980s, with good guys vs bad guys. Things are more nuanced now as humor has gotten more edge. Then again, advice about bullying was generally stupid in the 80s too.

I’ve watched humor evolve greatly, even over the past 4-5 yrs, to where there’s a clear distinction between the humor of the 20-30 yr old memer and the 11-14 yr old memer. Irony is at once more in your face and more subtle. More layers disguising what humor seems to portray and what it actually is portraying. It’s been fascinating to watch.
