American Patriotism _has_ had connections to Nazi-ism in the past – AND in the present day.
The link was made by the people who were BOTH patriotic _and_ Nazi or neo-Nazi.
That doesn’t mean “all Patriots” are. Just like it doesn’t mean that “all neoNazis are patriotic”.
But some are. And if you are patriotic and you DON’T LIKE neonazis as members, then extract them and denounce them and remove them.
If they do not represent you, don’t help give them a hiding place. Call them out and denounce.
