The Doctor dressed like a nerd of some kind compared to his surroundings. Even Pertwee, whose outfits I loved, I loved because I’m a bit of a nerd would would love to get away with over the top pomp and frill.

But if I walked around town like that? I’d be a nerd. Even Leather Jacket Doctor was kind of a thug-nerd — the guy who dresses like a teenager long after he should. But again, I like nerd style.

There’s just fans of Doctor Who. Some look forward to a new Doctor and, as always, some people hate the new Doctor before the new Doctor even speaks. It’s surprisingly average for every regeneration.

I’ve thought about that one. “Doctor Lies”. I mean, lying is a part of survival even among animals but I thought about River Song. It’s quite possible that she was telling a convenient lie in order to suit the situation because her character is more likely to tell a fib than the Doctor is, although of course the Doctor does as well.

That could almost work but then he’d only be able to revisit history and not change anything ’cause movies are fixed points in spacetim… wait i’m overthinking

But but – think of the MARKETING tie-ins with a vending machine! The machine stays the same but the chameleon circuit is fixed JUST ENOUGH to be a working vending machine, and whatever snack vendors agree to financially support the show will get a slot on the TARDIS’ vending front.

Gotta go all the way man. I’m an American all my life but my country embarrasses me sometimes

That could make them work though because weren’t police boxes uncommon when they started the show? Or was that just urban legend? [I always heard they wanted a real one but the last realone was dragged away before the shooting started]

I did too – but I was 8 yrs old I think…. and then I saw it in repeats on HBO … a lot actually. Loved that movie to pieces. Just never noticed that bit of humor there.

By far. I watched all the Christopher Reeve ones. I didn’t see the new ones though. On my list of “someday”. and yeah – thought of Bill and Ted. Loved that movie but I kept missing Doctor Who when I saw it ’cause it was off the air at that time with no hope of ever coming back. [I still kept hope]

I related *heavily* to Amy when she was angry with her raggety-man for abandoning her for all those years. That was me… except I didn’t wear a miniskirt… nor am I a ginger… and I think we have different sex organs but I don’t pry.
