America is a diverse country of different languages and cultures is an American view, not a PC view.Did you switch to Redskins topic somewhere along the way?
On a confederate level it is. Many states have made English official for government stuff, not personal. Federal not yet, although sparks will fly if it becomes law.
Thing is, “I think” or *advising* “it’d be wise” is different from “You must do so because…”That’s all I’m arguing against.
If I say “You know, you’re 20 and dating a 34 yr old might not be wise”, that’s different from “I forbid you and you’ll be kicked out of the house if…”That’s the distinction I’m trying to keep in this.
Individual voters have low influence nationally. For local elections, working illegal immigrants should absolutely have say, even if it’s a separate vote. I say that because we have a lot of illegals working here and I think they should have some say, as they have to deal with the same systems as citizens do.You know illegals pay taxes right?
It’s not usually a matter of respect or not. They’re so low on the totem pole class and financially and too busy working their asses off to worry about your “national value” ideals.
On Fantasy Nation Multiplayer MMORPG sure. But then there’s the complicated real world that doesn’t play by simple rules.
These existing systems are embedded. Not disappearing. Not getting deported. Continuing as-is. Big mouth in Wash DC won’t affect tomato farms here. Local sheriffs are INS deputized and deal with problem cases but illegals are left alone.
Akoya’s got a solid point.
