well, I’m not really 1200 page biography into -I’m probably more a Calvin + hobbes fan. But I liked ‘em all really, except Mary Worth and Annie. But I think since Peanuts was around from long before I was born and then the yearly holiday specials, the ‘idea’ of the peanuts characters became more interesting than the characters themselves. It surprises me how the jokes I didn’t ‘get’ as a kid made more sense as I got older. It was my first exposure to Nietzche and other philosophers (via Linus mostly, who I really related to) for example and yet it was also used all over my Sunday School reading stuff. And the idea of a guy drawing comics his whole life for a living always seemed rather unique. “
