Ah, he basically founded “metascience”. I can see why he’d be alluring to turn to. But he’s wrong as this is an active situation and we don’t know if all of the information sources are honest or not. This isn’t a lab situation or running a meta Google search across papers. “Ioannidis’s 2005 paper “Why Most Published Research Findings Are False”[9] has been the most downloaded technical paper from the journal PLoS Medicine and is considered foundational to the field of metascience.”
