Adam Smith formulated that Greed is Rational. Darwinian stuff comes out and Animal Greed for resources seems Rational and makes Darwinianism a rational theory.

The only trouble I have with the Darwinian formulation is that, to me, it’s borne out of a Adam Smith “Rational Man” Economics dominated society of the early/mid 19th century.

[we’re still dominated by that mode of thought but hopefully a little less so]

Even the way history is written has changed in some circles. The “reasons why” this or that historical figure did something, or some society did something is cast in terms of Greed, Power, etc – as if that is a completely normal, rational thing to do… all going back to Adam Smith’s concepts on Economics and the Rational Man having been SO POPULAR over the past few centuries. It’s become part of how we interpret things.
