A STRONG position does not say, “We have to fight back against the hoards that oppress us”. That’s a victim position.

Also, I appreciate the coffee-free rant in the beginning. I deserve it fully. You’re correct about me and you probably shouldn’t trust anything I have to say about science or religion.

I’m not sure where that leaves what I *can* be trusted about. Perhaps I’m secretly duplicitous. Perhaps I’m naive and just don’t understand the severity of the situation that is of drastic human importance with my ridiculous Tie-Die Peacenik Lets-all-just-get-along mantra.

But I think I do understand. This is why I’m doing what I’m doing and saying what I’m saying.

A STRONG position does not say, “We have to fight back against the hoards that oppress us”. That’s a victim position. It’s a victim’s story. It’s “fight hard because we’ll probably lose as we’re weak so keep fighting!”

Look at the successes of Global Warming campaign.

Who spoke out for it?

Let’s see: The head of Buddhism. The head of the Roman Catholic Church. Most of the heads of the Eastern Orthodox Churches (a few don’t like it – I think maybe the Russian one, no surprise there).

So, you got some pretty beefy major religious support right there. Churches worldwide are talking about it, supporting it, promoting it, for it.

Global warming is in a power position. What’s left over are a couple of rabble-rousing idiots from the fundy camp who are frantically scrambling in a last-ditch effort to save their plastic plate Germanic Republican-style Jesus.

Is my narrative 100% correct? Well, *I* think it is. I welcome corrections of course.

But my point is: I wasn’t thinking about rape and murder and such in my narrative. That’s part of a victim narrative. I want to hear a powerful David.
