Thank you for pointing out deontological ethics and the Divine command theory. That helped me make a connection that was missing in my knowledge of this area.
A minimalist deontological ethics would be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-rights_libertarianism – typically around Ayn Rand [and one of the few things about her philosophy I don’t mind because I normally don’t like her stuff much at all].

Man, this is tough stuff. Each of them have merits and pitfalls.
