A lot of people around here are getting their StarLinks now, as we live in an area with spotty internet service. I’m lucky on my street because we have xfinity. A block away, the lines don’t go there, so they have to deal with DSL or the standard Satellite internet options. DSL is doable _if_ you only have five or six devices and if the year is 2009. cellular is worse here. It was fine with analog but when it went digital it went to crap, and as they have been shutting down the slower speed ones, 2G and now 3G is almost gone, the 4G /LTE has been an iffy replacement – and i doubt we’ll see 5G for a long time. So hopefully for them, Starlink will be a viable option. They’re concerned that the company won’t keep its initial promises but overall they’re generally optimistic.
