a) it’s a two-week cooldown period so that these kinds of posts will come and go. New news will be in and few will be thinking about this faux pas in two weeks’ time.
b) She used an American understanding about race (skin color based) – the “race vs ethnicity” distinction. It made sense to me but Holocaust is one of those cases where the Nazi distinction of race dominates and other interpretations is historical revisionism. I’ve run into that one myself but I’m not a media player subject to greater scrutiny.
