62 hours by foot, or approximately 3/4 inch away.
In a fast wheeled vehicle powered by rotten moss and dinosaur goo, about 3 hours.
Also, to finish calculations: Orlando/Naples:
In-air flight time: 38 minutes
From gate to gate: 57 minutes
Constant 500 mph: 20 minutes
Well, I think you have to stick the in-air flight time in the _middle_ of the ‘From gate to gate” and the “non-flight” gate time start and the “non-flight” gate time finish will be the bookends.
57 minutes from gate to gate
38 minutes in flight time.
19 minutes not-flight time.
Presuming equality of the two halves of non-gate time on either end of the trip:
19/2 = 9.5 minutes.
9.5 minutes farting around the airport in a plane at the gate, sitting there, circling around, doing whatever.
38 minutes in-flight time
9.5 minutes farting around the airport in a plane at the gate, sitting there, circling around, doing whatever
57 minutes from gate to gate.
If I was actually making the flight, I’d add an extra hour at either end just in case because SOMETHING always goes wrong.
No. But I plan for its inevitability just the same. Mind you, I hate flying. Been a long time and no rush to do it again. I trust Murphy’s Law. It’s my friend. I get pleasantly surprised when Murphy’s Law is wrong. He’s the friend I trust but I like when he’s wrong.
