1980s: Acid rain was nasty. Got a lot of it in NJ before new EPA regulations forced oil stacks to clean up their stuff. They also forced car manufacturers to burn gas more cleanly. Result: ACIN RAIN SOLVED. 1990s: Ozone layer. CFCs were banned. Result: Improvements to the atmosphere. What happens is that these problems get SOLVED thanks to the hysteria. It’s annoying though. But it works.

“realPolitiDiva” probably never saw NYC in 1986. So her ignorance is understandable. But Kirk Summers man you must remember. It’s annoying but shit gets cleaned up this way.
